“I questioned myself, the way I deal with things and how I communicate with others. Through counselling I looked at these things and was able to improve the way I felt about the things around me”
Victim Support Southwark service user

Some victims of crime find it difficult to overcome the trauma associated with a crime, or find that the event has triggered painful memories and feelings. Their lives and relationships with family and friends might be affected.

Victim Support Southwark’s Counselling Service allows people 6 to 12 one-to-one sessions with a trained counsellor. This allows victims of crime to explore their feelings around a crime and come to terms with its effects in a safe and supportive environment.
